Industrial Crane Maintenance: Annual Checklist
1. Mechanical Checks
Hook and Hook Block: Check for wear, cracks, or deformation. Test if the safety latch operates correctly.
Ropes and Chains: Inspect ropes for broken wires, crushing, or corrosion. Measure elongation in chain links and check lubrication status.
Wheels and Rails: Inspect the wear on crane wheels and the alignment of the rail tracks.
Gearboxes (Reducers): Check oil levels and top up or change if necessary. Inspect for any signs of leakage.
2. Electrical Checks
Control Panel and Connections: Check for worn wires, loose connections, and terminal blocks.
Limit Switches: Test the functionality of upper limit and travel limit switches.
Motors: Clean motor fans and listen for abnormal heating or noises during operation.
Control Units: Test all functions of remote controllers or cable-connected pendants.
